What We Offer
~1 min readBased at Peter Arney Home in Salter Point, your role as a Kitchenhand is more than just preparing meals, it’s about bringing warmth and care to our residents through food. By keeping the kitchen organised and supporting meal preparation, you’ll help create moments of comfort and joy that truly makes it feel like home. This is a permanent part-time role offering 45 hours per fortnight.
Tuesday: 0700 - 1500
Wednesday: 0700 - 1500
Thursday: 0700 - 1500
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Prepare and plate food, serve and clear away meals in line with food preparation schedules.
- →Maintain the food preparation and serving areas to state hygiene standards.
- →Maintain appropriate resident interactions in line with the organizational values.
- →Consider resident lifestyles and personal choice.
- →Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with others.
- →Collect all temperature and cleaning records for the week and place in managers basket for checking and signing.
- →Record any dietary changes on master print out.
- →Check on stock requirements, e.g. bread, milk, OJ, yoghurt and change as necessary.
- →As required replenish shopping supplies which are specific and not currently available from usual supplier.
- Evidence of COVID-19 and Current Flu vaccinations per Amana Living policies
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity)
- Successful completion of pre-employment medical and reference checks
- NDIS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Proven organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, as required
- Willingness to attend 1 day paid induction at our Rivervale Training Institute
