The Part-Time Student Program is primarily designed to augment the Company’s regular full-time staff and is for students who work in parallel to their school schedule YEAR-ROUND. ## Your Responsibilities As a Part-Time Student, Manufacturing Engineer - Foundry for JD Waterloo Works located in Waterloo, IA, you will: · Participate in developmental assignments to gain Foundry experience. · Learn how to identify, analyze, and apply information to support issue resolution. · Assist in investigations and corrective actions and leverage innovative ideas to improve manufacturing issues. This position is not available to students on immigration visas ## What Skills You Need · Pursuing a degree in Engineering/Technology or related technical field others may apply · Effective communication and problem solving skills · Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and have a collaborative mindset · Graduation date of May 2027 or later · Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above · Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. accredited college/university · Ability to work 16-20 hours during the academic year · Ability to work 30-40 hours during the summer semester · Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, IA on a regular basis ## What Makes You Stand Out · Strong interest in casting processes · Experience in the use and application of Root Cause Analysis · Experience with robotics, programming, and data and analytics tools At John Deere, you are empowered to create a career that will take you to where you want to go while working in an inclusive team environment.
