Johnson Law Group is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our Personal Injury team in Chicago. This role involves handling a broad range of personal injury matters and working collaboratively within a structured, team-based environment. The ideal candidate is client-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple matters while meeting the demands of an active caseload.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Handle personal injury case files from inception through resolution
- →Evaluate potential claims and provide legal guidance to prospective and existing clients
- →Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, subpoenas, memoranda, and other legal documents
- →Conduct legal research related to personal injury matters, including applicable statutes and case law
- →Gather and analyze insurance policies, medical records, medical expenses, and other relevant evidence
- →Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel
- →Negotiate settlements and resolutions on behalf of clients
- →Represent clients at hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials as required
- →Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the firm’s case management system
Requirements
~1 min read- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in the applicable jurisdiction
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling personal injury matters (plaintiff-side preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated professionalism and commitment to client service
Requirements

- Bilingual proficiency preferred but not required
