JOB DESCRIPTION

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation services during night-time operations in
support of the hospital's activities, while ensuring the company vehicle is maintained in a clean,
safe, and roadworthy condition.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Safely transport staff, patients, documents, stock, and materials to designated locations during night-time operations.
• Load and offload goods and equipment as required.
• Plan and follow efficient travel routes using navigation systems.
• Ensure vehicles are clean, roadworthy, and well-maintained through regular inspections and servicing.
• Monitor fuel levels and arrange refueling when necessary.
• Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks and trip records.
• Report accidents, vehicle damage, traffic violations, and maintenance issues promptly.
• Comply with all road traffic legislation, safety standards, and company policies.
• Drive courteously and professionally while maintaining a safe driving record.
• Support after-hours hospital operations through the reliable transportation of staff, patients, and hospital assets.
• Ensure the security and safe handling of transported items during night-time travel.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.
• Valid Driver's Licence with a valid PDP.
• Willingness and ability to work at night.
