Operations Director

The Operations Director will lead, optimize, and scale all operational functions across a multi‑store retail chain in Puerto Rico. This role is responsible for strengthening the distribution network, improving supply chain efficiency, and elevating store operations to support growth, profitability, and long‑term sustainability. The ideal candidate is a strategic operator with hands‑on leadership experience, strong analytical capabilities, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence in retail, distribution, or multi‑unit environments. Key Responsibilities Oversee and optimize daily operations across all retail locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and alignment with company goals. Lead the distribution and supply chain strategy, including inventory flow, replenishment processes, warehouse operations, and vendor coordination. Implement operational improvements to reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance customer experience. Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor store performance, logistics efficiency, and operational health. Partner with Finance, HR, and Store Leadership to support budgeting, staffing, and compliance initiatives. Lead process standardization across stores, ensuring adherence to SOPs and operational best practices. Identify operational bottlenecks and implement data‑driven solutions to support scalability and growth. Oversee store audits, inventory accuracy, loss prevention initiatives, and operational compliance. Manage cross‑functional projects related to expansion, new store openings, technology upgrades, and workflow optimization. Mentor and develop store managers and operational teams to strengthen leadership capability across the organization. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field (Master’s preferred). 5+ years of experience in operations leadership, preferably in retail, distribution, or multi‑unit environments. Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, inventory management, and retail operations. Proven experience implementing operational improvements and scaling processes. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; ability to interpret data and drive decisions. Excellent communication, leadership, and team‑building skills. Ability to travel between store locations as needed (mileage reimbursed).
