Workshop Engineer

In short, your role within Jungheinrich will play a crucial part in providing the customer with complete peace of mind in managing their intra-company logistics.  

• Performing maintenance and repair work on Forklift Trucks and other Materials Handling Equipment for Jungheinrich UK, working at our national workshop in Warrington.

• →Maintaining and operating to health and safety standards on site in line with a 5S approach.
• →Repairing Material Handling Equipment delivered to the workshop.
• →Service and LOLER inspections of Material Handling Equipment.
• →Preparing Material Handling Equipment for demonstration or hires.
• →Carrying out repair assessments.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Workshop Supervisor.

• We are looking for mechanically and electrical biased engineers from any type of maintenance / service background specifically general automotive technicians, HGV, mobile plant, forklift, or ex forces military vehicle engineers.

• Mechanical/Electrical engineering experience
• Methodical approach to diagnostics
• Product knowledge (JH or similar)
• Able to work unsupervised
• Good communication skills
• Good team worker with a can do attitude
• Able to work to deadlines
• Improvement mentality
• Attention to detail
