Project Manager

We are renowned for working in partnership with our clients and construction partners to deliver exceptional outcomes based on our collaborative approach and our “One Team” value.

In Australia, KBR’s Infrastructure Solutions business employs over 1500 people with offices in each state. Our project delivery track record, industry profile and strong relationships have enabled us to grow significantly, and we continue to expand. This continued growth allows us to offer unrivalled opportunities to our staff in terms of career paths, career development and project exposure.

Creating a superb culture is also huge for us and a key part of our success and growth. Genuine collaboration across the business is integral to how we work. As a company KBR have created an open, inclusive organisation where people matter, are valued, and cared about. By joining KBR you can be assured that you are joining a team that pulls in the same direction and shares common values.

This is an exciting opportunity for a junior to mid-level Project Manager to join KBR during a period of significant growth. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a portfolio of design and consulting projects across KBR's Infrastructure Solutions business in Queensland. We are seeking candidates with an interest in transport, maritime, water utilities, or broader infrastructure projects.

Our projects typically involve investigations, options analysis, planning, and design activities for both new infrastructure developments and upgrades to existing assets within brownfield environments. Project values generally extend up to approximately $20 million in capital cost. Depending on your experience, you will either manage your own portfolio of projects or be part of a project management team delivering major infrastructure programs.

As a Project Manager, you will provide leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while also fostering strong client relationships and supporting ongoing business growth.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager within a consulting environment.
  • Exposure to a range of infrastructure sectors will be highly regarded.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage small to medium-sized projects.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build lasting client and colleague relationships.
  • An industry-recognised Project Management certification is preferred but not essential.

You will ideally have an engineering background combined with project management experience, preferably within the Australian transport, maritime, water utilities, or broader infrastructure sectors.

Experience across consulting, investigations, planning, specifications, design, project engineering, or commissioning will be highly regarded. As this role requires close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong working relationships.

This is a genuine career growth opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients, leading project teams, and mentoring others. We are looking for a motivated and collaborative professional who is passionate about delivering successful outcomes for both our clients and the communities we serve. A Defence Security Clearance is highly regarded, but not essential.
