Senior Systems Engineer

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. KBR is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.  An active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position.

Interface with the customer and provide end-to-end mission architecture system capability/requirements to achieve a desired mission effect, physics-based System of Systems performance assessment,  digital engineering and modeling support that includes technical and programmatic analysis/assessment related to requirements for current and future Space Control programs.

• →Conduct and develop products in IPTs and Working Groups that address the design/development, production, and integration of Space Control systems
• →Build an understand of the adversarial threats-based kill chains facing US space assets
• →Facilitate/develop/present resolution of issues related to system-of-systems integration
• →Develop and maintain mission architecture interface requirements for Space Control programs
• →Develop system-of-systems verification plans and trace verification plans to test events
• →Develop system integration plans for end-to-end system capability
• →Collect, analyze, and report on data collected during system-of-systems integration events

• Active TS/SCI is required to be considered for this position
• BS in engineering or computer science or equivalent experience
• Mission Engineering experience is a plus
• 10+ years of relevant technical experience in aerospace
• 5+ years in space system requirements analysis and allocation
• Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering methods and tools
• Independent problem solving with a variety of mission architecture systems engineering abilities, including knowledge and experience in requirements development, analysis, verification, and test.
• Ability to work effectively with customers and program stakeholders and have robust written and verbal communication skills.

• Candidate must have excellent oral/written communication skills and customer relationship skills
• Candidate must be an independent problem solver, comfortable in a fast paced environment and be able to quickly adapt to emerging requirements and changing priorities
• Master’s degree in engineering
• Experience with classified programs
• Mission Engineering experience is a plus
• Space system design, development, production, integration & test, and/or certification experience
