Youth Services Advocate

The Youth Services Advocate plays a critical role in supporting and empowering young individuals by providing guidance, resources, and advocacy to help them navigate challenges related to education, health, and social services. This position focuses on building trusting relationships with youth to understand their unique needs and circumstances, ensuring they have access to appropriate programs and opportunities. The advocate collaborates with community organizations, schools, and families to create a supportive network that promotes positive youth development and well-being. By actively listening and responding to the concerns of young people, the advocate helps to remove barriers and foster resilience. • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field.
• Experience working directly with youth populations in community, educational, or social service settings.
• Strong understanding of youth development principles and challenges faced by diverse youth populations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with youth and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with confidentiality standards.

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline.
• Certification or training in trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, or youth advocacy.
• Experience working with marginalized or at-risk youth populations, including those from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Familiarity with local, state, and federal resources and policies related to youth services.
• Proficiency in a second language commonly spoken by the community served.
