Keystone Solutions is seeking an Expert Functional Analyst to join us as a consultant for a major modernization mission with our client. The engagement focuses on transforming a legacy monolithic application into a modern, API‑first, event‑driven microservices architecture running on Kubernetes. This mission goes beyond technical modernization to drive business transformation: enabling new features, improving agility, and accelerating value delivery for both internal and external users. By building a more flexible and scalable digital platform, the client aims to deliver better services, enhance user experience, and adapt faster to evolving business and regulatory needs. As a Keystone Solutions consultant, you will work closely with the client's teams—on site and/or in a hybrid setup—to deliver these outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end‑to‑end functional analysis in an API‑first, event‑driven microservices context on Kubernetes, aligned with the client's modernization and business transformation goals, as a Keystone Solutions consultant working alongside the client's teams.
  • Model and document current and target business processes using BPMN and UML; clearly describe desired and existing processes.
  • Define and manage interface contracts (synchronous and asynchronous), ensuring clarity and consistency across services.
  • Design and maintain sequence diagrams specifying interactions between components in synchronous/asynchronous architectures.
  • Design, maintain, and ensure coherence of data models; apply strong SQL querying to validate processing success/failures and support troubleshooting.
  • Build and maintain high‑quality functional and technical documentation that guides developers and testers.
  • Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams; contribute to testing strategies and execution to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Provide leadership within the pillar/workstream: coach and challenge analysts, facilitate cross‑team alignment, and support project leadership activities.
  • Estimate development time/cost collaboratively; manage priorities and time effectively to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.

  • Good knowledge of Business Process Modeling, UML & BPMN methods, and functional and technical analysis; ability to clearly describe desired and existing processes

  • Foundational data management knowledge to query information to understand successful or failed processing

  • Ability to design Data Models: define, maintain, and guarantee the consistency of the data model (mastery of SQL queries)

  • Solid experience in designing Sequence Diagrams to specify interactions between components in synchronous/asynchronous architectures

  • Hands‑on knowledge of tools: Jira, Confluence, Git, Postman, SoapUI, SQL client, Browser Developer Tools, and modeling/design tools (UML, Sequence, Data Model)
