CNC Programmer and Operator

Position Summary:  This role is responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC equipment used to manufacture custom cabinetry and related components. The ideal candidate has experience with CNC programming software, strong mechanical aptitude, and a passion for producing high-quality work with precision and efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Program CNC machines using AlphaCAM, Cabinet Vision, and other manufacturing software as needed.
• Create optimized layouts to maximize material yield and minimize waste.
• Set up and operate CNC equipment to produce accurate, high-quality components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Manage cutting tool life and replace tooling as needed for optimal performance.
• Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in excellent working condition.
• Troubleshoot programming or machine issues and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of CNC programming and/or CNC machine operation experience.
• Experience with AlphaCAM, Cabinet Vision, or similar CNC programming software preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and production documents.
• Strong computer and mathematical skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and CNC best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
