Hungry — We seek out challenges, take initiative, and push for continuous improvement.

Willing to learn — We invest in growth because developing our people benefits everyone.

Committed — We take pride in our work and hold ourselves to the highest standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and launch projects, including coordination with building departments, regulatory bodies, engineers, architects, and other consultants
  • Manage project closeout, ensuring full completion and resolution of any outstanding construction or client issues
  • Create, manage, and maintain project schedules including look-ahead schedules
  • Liaise with clients, subtrades, and suppliers for scheduling, coordination, and pricing
  • Review job costs and assist with evaluating and negotiating subtrade pricing
  • Identify and investigate potential high-risk situations and provide solutions in the best interest of the project and company
  • Ensure all team members understand project objectives, specifications, and head contract requirements
  • Develop and implement cost-saving methods
  • Lead handover meetings for newly assigned projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of direct experience with earthworks and underground utilities
  • Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of an organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and occasional weekends as required
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience acquiring City of Calgary permits and indemnifications (asset)
  • Experience with temporary shutdowns and public notifications (asset)
  • Familiarity with Heavy Bid, Heavy Job, and Vista Viewpoint (asset)

We thank all candidates for their interest. Due to application volume, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
