Direct Support Professional

KMA Health Services is a service provider for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to foster independence through compassionate support, helping individuals to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. We provide in-home support services, community coaching, and respite care. As an employee of KMA Health Services (KMAHS) you will be a part of a team of skilled and dedicated professionals who value integrity, respect, and teamwork.

This position requires the ability to assist individuals with teaching skills and offering aid to accomplish their personally set goals for independent living. Duties and responsibilities include: 

• Assisting with activities of daily living,
• Monitoring for safety,
• Transporting to activities, 
• Assisting with basic hygiene, 
• Behavior management (training is provided), 
• Submit daily progress notes, and 
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment for the individual and the employee. 


Perform simple nursing care, first-aid, behavior management, personal and hygiene.


Requirements: A minimum of one year experience in the medical or a related field (social work, psychology, nursing assistance, etc.) Additionally, the following are required:

• A reliable car
• A current driver's license
• A current work authorization
• Current auto insurance
• Current CPR & First Aid
• Current physical exam
• Current tuberculosis test with negative result
• Social Security Card
• Resume

If hired, a background check (FBI) and a Central Registry check will be required.
