Event Visitor Services (EVS) is the functional area, within the Organizing Committee for the LA28 Summer Games (Olympics and Paralympics), that oversees the planning, design, and provision of safe and welcoming visits to all ticketed events at official competition venues, as well as other services for accredited stakeholders.
The Event Services Training Manager is a dynamic and organized training leader who is responsible for designing, facilitating, and delivering the EVS training programs for volunteers and paid staff who will be responsible for front-of-house operations, ensuring a memorable experience for all.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Workforce and Training, this role is integral to ensuring the smooth delivery of the EVS workforce and will manage the logistical requirements and reports for training sessions. The Training Manager is a key member of the EVS Workforce Team by providing venue support and ensuring staff readiness.
Responsibilities

- →Work with EVS Venue team and Human Resources to design and develop suitable training material, such as processes, policies and procedures.
- →Manage training schedule, equipment and room logistics
- →Manage the training invitation, acceptance and attendance tracking process
- →Oversee training information for printing and publication
- →Ensure quality services and equipment for training delivery
- →Present training material to large audiences
- →Manage attendance reports including no shows
- →Assist venue teams with EVS Workforce Operations during Games-time
- →Manage the EVS Training Team ensuring effective implementation of the training deliverables
- →Create an open and supportive environment for trainees
- →Other duties as assigned
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ years of experience in training; preferably with experience in large-scale events
- Experienced in designing comprehensive training materials within organizations
- Experience in project based training and large-scale team integrations
- Experience in managing high performance teams
- Takes accountability and ownership of tasks and problems
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other Functional Areas to ensure delivery of a suitable training program
- Considers the impact of decisions on our Games Time workforce
- Generates ideas to improve processes and create efficiencies
- Maintains professional manner when dealing with paid staff and volunteers
- Able to adapt communication style and approach
- Communicates clearly and concisely
- A leader and doer who can thrive in both small scale and large scale
- Manages numerous tasks with a high level of detail at the same time.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Requirements
~1 min read- Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
- The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
- The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
- Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000-$105,000. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
