As the Driver Operations Manager, you will be in charge of growing and retaining our supply for our Germany operations. Quick wits, problem-solving and a team-first mentality will be critical to your success. This role is a unique opportunity to have a measurable impact on your market through the growth and optimization of the driver population on the Lalamove platform.

This is a full-time role located in Berlin. A relocation package will be provided for the right candidate currently located elsewhere.

Driver acquisition and onboarding: constantly maintain an over-supplying effort by keeping a healthy and efficient process for driver acquisition and onboarding.

Community & Retention Management: Drive and lead communications, training, online community, engagement activities, and multiple business initiatives to build trust & loyalty with our driver-partners across Germany.

Driver operations standards: identity, build and enforce Standard Operating Procedures and Policies to support the activity and solve or prevent issues.

Performance: constantly track the efficiency of your team and the service quality provided to the network, and deploy corrective/improvement actions.

Team management: Hire, onboard, and train a team of driver operations leads and associates to execute the local operations; constantly track the efficiency of your team and the service quality provided to the network, and deploy corrective/improvement actions.

Process improvement and standards: Identity, build and enforce standard operating procedures to manage the supply teams effectively.

Bachelor’s degree or higher, with at least 5 years of operational and leadership experience, preferably in a logistics or e-commerce fulfilment environment.

Proven experience managing teams of 3 or more direct reports, including oversight of multiple functions or verticals.

Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and collaborate effectively with regional or headquarters teams.

Solid understanding of mobile and web technologies and their application in business operations.

Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to identify key levers for performance and make informed business decisions.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging and inspiring a diverse community.

Highly organised and structured, with strong prioritisation skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously without compromising quality.

High integrity and sound business judgment, with a proven ability to make decisions in the best interest of the company.

Fluent in written and spoken German and English, with the ability to communicate ideas clearly and present information in a structured manner.

Positive, open-minded, and results-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and business acumen.
