UKG Payroll Implementation Specialist

• 5+ years of progressive payroll experience.
• Experience with UKG Payroll and/or UKG Workforce Management.
• Experience supporting a payroll system implementation.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, timekeeping, earnings, deductions, taxes, overtime, commissions, and benefits.
• Experience with payroll data conversion, testing, reconciliation, and validation.

LaserAway seeking an experienced UKG Payroll Implementation Specialist to support the implementation and transition from ADP to UKG Payroll. This temporary position will provide dedicated, hands-on support throughout the implementation while allowing the Payroll team to maintain day-to-day payroll operations.

The organization will be transitioning from semi-monthly to biweekly payroll and implementing a new Saturday–Friday workweek. The Specialist will play a key role in payroll configuration, data conversion, testing, validation, process development, and go-live support.

The ideal candidate will have strong payroll knowledge, UKG implementation experience, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced implementation environment.

• →Serve as the Payroll subject matter expert throughout the UKG implementation.
• →Partner with UKG, Payroll, HR, Finance, IT, and Operations to support configuration and implementation decisions.
• →Assist with the transition from semi-monthly to biweekly payroll and implementation of the new Saturday–Friday workweek.
• →Review and validate earnings, deductions, taxes, pay groups, payroll calendars, overtime, commissions, and other payroll configurations.

• Support ADP-to-UKG payroll data conversion and validation.
• Validate employee, payroll, tax, deduction, and historical data.
• Develop and perform payroll testing and test payrolls.
• Reconcile payroll results and investigate discrepancies.
• Validate timekeeping-to-payroll integration and calculations.

• Review existing payroll processes and assist with redesigning them for UKG.
• Develop payroll procedures, workflows, and implementation documentation.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes.
• Support development of controls and audit-ready documentation.

• Support final implementation readiness and cutover activities.
• Provide hands-on support during initial UKG payroll processing.
• Troubleshoot payroll and system issues and coordinate resolutions.
• Support knowledge transfer to the Payroll team following implementation.
