Mid Software Engineer | Manila

We hypothesised that the high costs, inefficiencies, and difficulties of obtaining legal help could be overcome simply by providing greater access to legal information, and by providing everybody with real-time access to high-quality, affordable lawyers online.

• Work shift: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM

• Hybrid schedule with an office in Ayala, Makati

• 2+ years of experience

• Extensive professional development, documentation, and maintenance experience across the full software development lifecycle.

• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills: you’re a central hub of communication used to synthesise the work conducted between our cross-functional team.

• The ability to steer the development of our team members and continuously bring forward new ideas to help us collaborate, learn, and share.

• The ability to learn and become proficient in other programming languages in a short span of time.

• Experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Experience working with relational databases and efficient data design and access.

• Experience with version control systems (Git).

• Experience with Elixir, Phoenix, Phoenix LiveView and PostgreSQL.

• Experience with Ruby on Rails.

• Experience with React.

• Experience building software for regulated environments.

• Experience in building, monitoring, and deploying modern distributed microservices hosted in the cloud.

• Demonstrated containerisation experience (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).

• Knowledge in UNIX systems.

• Previous experience in a startup environment.

• Experience working with a remote team.

• Experience working in the legal services industry.
