  • →Ensures that staff complies with mandatory education, licensure requirements, mandatory health requirements, etc.
  • →Develops annual departmental budget and operates within budgetary guidelines.
  • →Recommends and ensures appropriate staffing levels. Allocates resources according to priorities.
  • →Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner.
  • →Gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • →Develops alternative solutions.
  • →Generates creative solutions and attention to detail.
  • →Seeks increased responsibilities. Looks for and takes advantage of opportunities.

  • RN or Social Work degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Ten years experience as a RN or SW required, five years as a case manager and 3 years in a mid-management position preferred.
  • Current Louisiana Registered Nurse license or Social Work license or Multi-State compact license.
  • Computer knowledge for use of Internet, Word, Excel Outlook. Knowledge of Sequel an asset.
  • Knowledge of CMS Standards related to Utilization Management and Utilization Review as well as Conditions of Participation.
  • Work requires a variety of physical activities, including moving about within and outside of all hospital properties for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to emergency and non-emergent situations.
  • May be required to assist in controlling disorderly conduct or combative patients.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information with patient, family, peers and medical personnel.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
