About the Role
~1 min readWe are seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to join our growing operations team and play a critical role in providing superior support to claims managers; brokers and our internal Underwriting and Operations Units. As a Claims Specialist, you will play a critical role in handling PL & GL claims while helping us build a best-in-class claims operation. You'll be at the forefront of creating a trusted, transparent, and efficient claims process for our customers. We're a growing start-up reshaping the E&S space, and we're looking for someone who can combine operational rigor with empathy and adaptability. You’ll play a critical role in both delivering exceptional customer experience and supporting scalable processes as we grow.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Manage and process incoming claims efficiently, ensuring accuracy, fairness, and timely resolution
- Communicate directly with customers, providers, and partners to gather necessary documentation and clarify case details.
- Communicate directly with insureds, brokers, and partners, maintaining clarity, professionalism, and empathy
- Working along with our Claims Manager to investigate claims by reviewing documentation, identifying any discrepancies or inconsistencies, and escalating when appropriate.
- Maintain detailed and compliant records for audit and regulatory purposes
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and underwriting teams to improve claims workflows and automate routine tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the external and internal customer needs and implement solutions that enhance productivity.
- Communicate effectively with employees and 3rd parties to ensure they are supporting client initiatives.
- Provide feedback and insights to improve internal policies, tools, and customer communications
- Monitoring statistical data to ensure efficient claims handling is maintained.
- Help build and refine our claims playbook, SOPs, and knowledge base from the ground up

Requirements
~1 min read- Proven experience in Claims handling roles/ industry.
- Experience in building successful relationships with various stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong customer focus and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Comfortable with MS Office Suite and Google Workspace applications.
- Strong knowledge of coverage analysis, claims investigation, and litigation management
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to drive initiative.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Nice to Have
~1 min read- Prior startup experience.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economy; Finance; Risk Management or a related field.
- Adjuster license(s) or CPCU/AIC designation(s).
- Familiarity with the regulatory landscape.
