Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

 

Legend Biotech is seeking a Senior Research Associate (Contractor) as part of the Clincal Development team based in Philadelphia, PA.

Role Overview

This position will perform preclinical in vivo pharmacology and toxicology studies to support pipeline advancement. The ideal candidate will have experience in biology and oncology and in vivo studies with animal models. The successful candidate will work in a collaborative environment and is skillful in supporting multiple projects by conducting various in vitro and in vivo laboratory experiments.

Key Responsibilities

Work together with other team members to conduct in vivo studies with mouse, dog and NHP. Responsibility includes: Cell culture and banking, human PBMC isolation, Flow-cytometry based cell phenotyping analysis, animal dosing through injections of intravenous, intraperitoneal and subcutaneous. Tumor measurement through caliber and bioluminescent imaging, sample (tumor, blood and tissues) harvest, processing and analyzing.

Requirements

  • BS or master’s degree in biological sciences.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a biological laboratory setting (industry preferred).
  • Confidence in working with laboratory animals like mouse, rat, dog are essential. Extensive experience in animal handing, bleeding, necropsy, tissue collection and processing. Animal in vivo imaging (BLI) skills.
  • Excellent animal dosing skills especially intravenous injection is required.
  • Sense of ownership and integrity of their work. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Immunohistochemistry experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills including but not limited to pay attention to details and multitasking.
  • Cell culture, mouse handling and procedures (bleeding, injection, in vivo imaging, tissue dissection and analysis), not allergic to lab animals.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
