Levergate Recruitment Services is recruiting an experienced Head of Legal & Compliance on behalf of a confidential international brokerage operating in the Forex and CFD trading industry.

Our client is seeking a pragmatic, commercially minded legal professional to lead and develop its Legal & Compliance function, ensuring that business operations, commercial partnerships, and internal processes meet applicable legal and regulatory requirements.

This senior leadership position involves working closely with executive management and cross-functional teams, providing strategic legal guidance, managing regulatory risks, and supporting business expansion across multiple jurisdictions.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to establish and shape the Legal & Compliance function within a growing international FinTech environment.

• →Lead and oversee legal and compliance matters across the organisation.
• →Advise executive management on legal, regulatory, commercial, and operational risks.
• →Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements with payment service providers (PSPs), banks, liquidity providers, and other business partners.
• →Maintain and update legal documentation, including Terms & Conditions, commercial agreements, and internal policies.
• →Assess regulatory and legal implications of new products, marketing initiatives, and commercial partnerships across jurisdictions.
• →Support banking and payment partnerships through legal due diligence, compliance assessments, and contract negotiations.
• →Coordinate external legal advisors and law firms across multiple jurisdictions.
• →Establish internal legal and compliance procedures, documentation standards, and risk-management processes.
• →Build, manage, and develop the Legal & Compliance team as the organisation expands.
• →Collaborate with Finance, Payments, Business Development, Marketing, and executive leadership.

• Fluent Russian and strong English communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law.
• Minimum 5 years of legal or compliance experience within the CFD brokerage industry.
• Strong knowledge of commercial contracts, corporate structures, and relevant financial regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working with PSPs, banks, financial institutions, and liquidity providers.
• Proven ability to assess regulatory risks and develop practical, business-oriented solutions.
• Experience interacting with regulators, external legal advisors, and commercial partners.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and lead a legal and compliance function.

1. Initial HR Interview — approximately 60 minutes.
2. Hiring Manager Interview — approximately 90 minutes.
