Occupational Therapist - Prevention & Early Intervention

To be successful in this role you must have,
Liquid Personnel is recruiting Occupational Therapist for its client's Prevention & Early Intervention Team at Walsall.
You’ll support adults aged 18+ with physical disabilities affecting their functional ability, using a person-centred, strength-based approach to promote independence, wellbeing and meaningful engagement in daily life.
The service focuses on reducing risks such as falls, preventing escalation and helping people avoid hospital admissions, formal care packages and functional decline.
- Hybrid – community-based with 1 office day per week
- 2-month contract with potential extension
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Manage a varied and complex community caseload
- →Complete person-centred OT assessments and interventions
- →Assess for minor/specialist equipment and major adaptations
- →Experience with Disabled Facilities Grants
- →Complete manual handling assessments and provide advice
- →Contribute to rehousing reports and effective signposting
- →Work collaboratively with individuals, carers and MDT colleagues
- →Strong knowledge of safeguarding and the Care Act
Requirements

- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualifying experience required in either LA or NHS
- HCPC registered OT required
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle required
- Previous community social care OT experience highly desirable
