Occupational Therapist – Local Authority

What will your responsibilities be? 

• Complete comprehensive Occupational Therapy and functional assessments for adults with a range of complex needs
• Assess activities of daily living, mobility, transfers, environmental risks and barriers to independence
• Recommend and prescribe appropriate equipment, minor adaptations and other solutions to support independent living
• Develop practical, person-centred interventions focused on maximising independence and maintaining individuals safely within their own homes
• Work collaboratively with service users, carers, Social Workers, health professionals and wider multidisciplinary teams
• Contribute to care and support planning, risk management and appropriate onward referrals
• Manage a varied caseload effectively, prioritising according to need and risk
• Maintain accurate and timely assessments, reports and professional records
• Apply strengths-based, person-centred practice and relevant health and social care legislation within everyday OT decision-making

Qualifications & Experience: 

• HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
