Course Leader in Early Years and Teaching Assistant (0.8 FTE)
£42,771 - £45,750 (per annum pro rata)
We are seeking an experienced, inspirational and forward-thinking individual to strengthen and expand our Teaching Assistant and Early Years curriculum, developing clear and aspirational pathways into school based support roles, early childhood education and apprenticeships.
This role will play a pivotal part in responding to local and national priorities across the education and early years sector, including workforce development, inclusive practice and raising the quality of support for children’s learning and wellbeing. The Course Leader will lead and develop programmes at Entry level, Levels 1, 2 and 3, ensuring curriculum relevance in areas such as child development, safeguarding, behaviour support, SEND, curriculum planning and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Teaching Assistant and Early Years provision remains a strategic growth area for the service. This post presents an exciting opportunity to shape high quality programmes that support residents into meaningful careers while addressing skills shortages in schools, nurseries and early years settings across the borough and beyond.
