Responsibilities

Typical duties include, but are not limited to:

  • →Teach undergraduate Mathematics courses in face-to-face, hybrid, and online formats.
  • →Develop and maintain high-quality instructional materials and utilize effective teaching strategies that support student success.
  • →Participate in curriculum development, assessment, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • →Maintain regular office hours and provide academic support and mentoring to students in person and electronically.
  • →Advise students regarding academic planning, degree completion, internships, and career pathways.
  • →Contribute to the growth and success of LSUA's Mathematics program, including support of the LSU Online partnership.
  • →Participate in departmental, college, and university service activities, including committee assignments and faculty governance.
  • →Engage in professional development activities that support teaching effectiveness and disciplinary expertise.
  • →Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair, Dean, or University administration.

Requirements

+  Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in mathematics or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution. Candidates holding a graduate degree in another discipline with at least 18 graduate semester credit hours in Mathematics will also be considered.

+  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching undergraduate Mathematics courses.
  • Demonstrated excellence in classroom and online teaching.
  • Familiarity with or experience in online course development and delivery.
  • Evidence of engagement in scholarly or professional development activities
