🥜 In a nutshell

As Content Department Manager, you'll lead and grow our Content department: a talented team spanning content, social, design, and CMS. This is a fully managerial, non-operational role where you'll translate company strategy into team execution, set the bar high, drive accountability, and keep the department operating at full speed. You'll be the engine that turns creative ambition into consistent, high-quality output, all while developing the people around you.

🎯 The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
Team direction & accountability
  • Align team priorities with company direction and assign clear ownership across projects and processes

  • Define goals, KPIs, and accountability standards for both the team and individuals

  • Prioritize initiatives based on business needs and team capacity

Department oversight & operations
  • Maintain full visibility over workload, priorities, and team performance across content, social, design, and CMS

  • Identify bottlenecks and operational gaps and squash them before they slow the team down

  • Balance structure with the pace of fast-moving creative workflows

People management & development
  • Lead performance management through regular feedback, PMP calls, and evaluations

  • Coach, develop, and grow team members, and recognize performance issues early

  • Handle hiring, onboarding, restructuring, and offboarding when needed

  • Participate in compensation reviews based on individual contribution and impact

Collaboration & reporting
  • Represent the Content department in cross-team planning and decision-making

  • Ensure alignment across departments on priorities, workflows, and business objectives

  • Monitor performance, escalate risks, and make informed decisions on structure and resource allocation

  • Use data, insights, and team feedback to continuously improve how the department operates

⚡ All you need is…
  • 2+ years experience in team leadership, people management, or department management

  • Experience working in creative, content, marketing, social, or design-driven environments, with a strong understanding of content, social, design, and CMS workflows and team dynamics

  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to oversee multiple workflows, priorities, and moving parts simultaneously

  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and accountability management skills

  • Solid understanding of performance management, team development, and operational oversight

  • Independent, proactive, and highly reliable approach to leadership and problem solving

  • Ability to identify operational inefficiencies, performance gaps, and organizational risks proactively

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management abilities

  • Ability to balance empathy, professionalism, and decisiveness in people management
