We are looking for a driven, personable, and strategically minded HR Business Partner to join our growing Human Resources team. Based out of our brand-new headquarters on Technology Drive in Aberdeen, MD, this "superstar" HRBP will own multiple core HR processes across the organization.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who thrives on collaborating with senior-level stakeholders, managing diverse concurrent projects, and acting as a true owner of the employee experience. You will drive initiatives across HR technology, compensation, benefits, talent management, onboarding, and employee relations to support LufCo’s rapid growth.

    • Standard office environment with occasional travel (primarily local) to client sites, labs, or field environments as required.

    Responsibilities

    • System Integration: Lead the integration of our current HR technology stack into a unified, seamless system to optimize the overall employee experience.
    • Training & Onboarding: Design and execute comprehensive learning plans for employees and managers to ensure smooth transitions during system changes.
    • Change Management: Champion internal organizational change management, ensuring company-wide readiness and adoption of new HR technologies and processes.

    Practices Upgrade: Review and modernize current compensation structures, updating job grades, internal/external pay ranges, and aligning them with Labor Categories (LCATs).
    Workforce Planning: Facilitate the company-wide Talent Review process. Partner closely with Talent Acquisition, Finance, and senior leadership to deliver accurate forecasting for hiring needs, attrition trends, and talent assessments.
    90-Day Onboarding Program: Build, scale, and manage a new, comprehensive 90-day onboarding plan. Ensure new hires are smoothly integrated, granted immediate technical access, aligned with performance expectations, and supported through regular orientation touchpoints.
    Benefits Administration: Partner with our external Benefit Broker to facilitate and lead the company's annual open enrollment process during Q4 2026.
    Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor and objective mediator for employee relations, providing guidance to managers and employees to maintain a positive, compliant work environment.
    Competitive Pay: Annual compensation potential ranges from $100,000 to $150,000. Salaries depend on years of experience, education, and skills relevant to the position. Compensation is a mix of base pay and performance based incentives.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
    • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with a strong background in HR technology, data reporting, and senior-level client consulting.
    • Proven track record of successfully implementing or upgrading HR tech stacks.
    • Prior experience acting as a dedicated HR Business Partner advising senior executives and directors.
    • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with BambooHR and a strong aptitude for mastering new HR software and analytical tools.
    • Consultative Approach: Exceptional ability to consult with senior leaders, navigate complex employee relations issues, and maintain absolute confidentiality.
    • Agility: Ability to quickly grasp the technical baseline of the defense, SIGINT, and technology roles LufCo recruits for.
    • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills across all platforms (email, text, phone, and video).
    • Organization: High level of autonomy, rigorous attention to detail, and the ability to self-direct in a fast-paced environment.
