What We Offer

Respond to crisis and non-crisis calls with law enforcement upon dispatch from 911.
When multiple calls occur simultaneously, triage calls to determine appropriate level of intervention, balancing needs among various law enforcement departments.
Balance immediate needs with long-term goal to connect to ongoing supports, understanding that needs and timeline for transition vary among cases.
Complete immediate follow up for Crisis Calls and Collaborate with Complex Case Management around cases that require sustained intervention
Maintain confidentiality
Develop strong relationships with Monroe County’s law enforcement agencies.
Build effective linkages and relationships with informal and community supports (child, adult, and family serving systems), as well as other formal supports.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with forensic entities (including courts and Monroe County Jail), as well as provider agencies.
Support interdepartmental initiatives and planning functions within Monroe County Office of Mental Health.
Provide program coverage, including on-call, as necessary.
Support other Monroe County Office of Mental Health program needs as they arise.
Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or Mental Health/Human Services related field plus minimum 5 years’ experience in mental health crisis intervention or mental health crisis response setting, or…
  • Preferred Experience: direct behavioral health support or treatment in emergency/crisis; criminal justice/forensic; substance use disorders; developmental disabilities; and/or youth/family settings

  • Satisfactory completion of required background screenings: Monroe County Jail, Criminal, State Central Registry, Driving, Education and Licensure verification
  • Regular access to NYS registered, insured, and inspected vehicle for business purposes.
  • Minimum $300,000 personal liability on auto insurance policy.
  • Employee paid parking, FSA parking benefits are available
  • Willing to carry police radio for communication and response during shift and on-call.

Staff working directly with protected health information /electronically stored protected health information, personally identifiable information, and other patient/consumer/customer data, will abide by the specific procedures and policies outlined by CCSI’s Code of Conduct and CCSI’s Privacy and Security Policies, New York State regulations and Federal regulations.
