Macmillan is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled P2P Systems Administrator to support the optimization and maintenance of our Procure-to-Pay (P2P) technology ecosystem. In this role, you'll serve as a key technical resource for our Accounts Payable and Procurement teams, managing day-to-day system operations while enabling strategic business initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with systems administration experience who wants to make an immediate impact in an operations environment. You'll work at the intersection of technology and business, translating functional requirements into technical solutions while supporting three integrated platforms that are critical to our vendor management and payment processing.
What You'll Do:
- Serve as the primary administrator for our P2P technology stack, including Xflow, Concur, and Tipalti platforms
- Manage user provisioning, role assignments, and approval authority hierarchies across all platforms, ensuring appropriate access controls and compliance with segregation of duties (SOD) requirements
- Monitor system health, batch processes, and data synchronization between integrated platforms and our SAP core system
- Troubleshoot system errors, workflow bottlenecks, and integration failures; serve as the first point of contact for escalations and coordinate with software vendors for technical support
- Ensure compliance with company controls and policies by maintaining proper segregation of duties, access controls, and comprehensive audit logs across all P2P systems; support internal and external compliance audits
- Support technical setup, configuration, and testing for new P2P software applications, module expansions, and platform upgrades
- Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution, including test case development and regression testing
- Partner with Central IT and Enterprise Architecture teams to ensure all implementations meet company security standards and data governance protocols
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and troubleshooting guides
- Partner with Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense, and Procurement leadership to understand business requirements and recommend technical solutions
- Support the standardization of master data across platforms, including vendor master maintenance, GL coding structures, and cost center alignment
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend system configuration enhancements to improve workflow automation and reduce manual intervention
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance system reliability, user experience, and operational efficiency
- Associate's degree or higher preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in finance systems administration, ERP support, or related technical operations role
- Hands-on experience administering enterprise software platforms (ERP, procurement, expense management, or payment systems)
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently and escalate appropriately
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and compliance
- Proficiency with Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Ability to work with structured data, SQL databases, and system logs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
- Experience administering workflow automation or business process management (BPM) software
- Familiarity with Procure-to-Pay (P2P) systems such as Ariba, Xflow, Concur, or Tipalti
- Experience with API integrations or data synchronization between multiple systems
- Knowledge of SOD compliance, audit logging, and RBAC (role-based access control) concepts
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) or system implementations
- Certification in relevant systems administration or IT fundamentals
- Understanding of accounts payable, procurement, or finance operations
What We're Looking For
- A self-starter who takes ownership of technical issues and sees them through to resolution
- Someone comfortable learning new systems quickly and adapting to a fast-paced operations environment
- A collaborative team player who communicates effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
- An individual who values accuracy, follows documented procedures, and maintains strong audit trails
- Someone with a growth mindset who is eager to deepen technical and domain expertise
