The selected candidate will work on a team to develop, design, and deliver utility system modernization and energy efficiency projects at large industrial and commercial facilities throughout North America. Candidate will be responsible for various project development activities, from site visits to perform project scoping and energy assessments, to detailed design engineering, project delivery and commissioning.

Ideal co-op candidates will have completed some education and foundational engineering coursework but are not expected to have significant experience or knowledge at the beginning of the program. These candidates will grow and learn through practical experience alongside their education by alternating semesters. The candidate will be given increasingly more responsibility and autonomy as they grow in this role with each subsequent semester.

Ideal intern candidates will have significant educational and practical experience. These candidates have completed most or all of the foundational engineering coursework like Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics. These candidates have a better idea of their interests after graduation and would consider working full-time as a consulting engineer providing solutions for resource conservation and decarbonization for large industrial manufacturers.

Co-op and Intern candidates will be responsible for various project development activities, from concept development, initial site visit, preliminary scoping assessments, detailed design engineering, and project delivery oversight and management.  Role may include:

  • Support site surveys and data collection on new and existing client sites. Travel of 20-50% is to be expected, typically 1-5 day trips during the business week.
