McCallum Powder is an explosives supplier based out of Chehalis, WA and has been in business since 2016. McCallum Powder assists in the manufacturing, storage, and transportation of explosives products for all McCallum Rock Drilling blasting operations.
McCallum Powder is searching for a full-time Site Supervisor to join our Onalaska, WA site. He or she will be expected to be on site Monday - Friday and may be expected to work some hours on the weekends, depending on operational needs. Our ideal candidate must have a clean criminal background, must have an acceptable driving record, and will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
What to Expect
Our Site Supervisor will be responsible for the safe, secure, compliant, and efficient day-to-day operation of the explosives storage magazine. He or she will maintain accurate and strict inventory of all explosives products and will ensure McCallum Powder and regulatory requirements are followed.
Minimum responsibilities include:
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Maintain safe operation of the explosives magazine in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Ensure required licenses, permits, and inspections remain current
- Maintain accurate inventory records and required transaction documentation
- Oversee incoming explosive deliveries and safely
- Enforce site-specific explosives safety procedures
- Control access to restricted areas and maintain accurate access logs
- Conduct routine inspections of magazine facilities, housekeeping, and equipment
- Communicate and report any safety concerns, inventory discrepancies, incidents, or suspected violations to management
- Ability to lift up to and between 50 - 100 lbs.
Minimum skills and qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong recordkeeping and inventory skills
- Ability to pass ATF background check
- Valid driver's license
- Familiar with electronic inventory and/or data entry
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Comfortable working outdoors and in all weather conditions
- Ability to work independently most of the time
