Megaport is looking for a Regulatory Compliance Officer to help ensure our global network operates responsibly and in compliance with regulatory, cyber security and privacy requirements.
Based in India at the Extreme office, you’ll be our local subject matter expert on the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and the Department of Telecom’s (DoT) Unified License (UL) regulatory requirements.
This is not an entry level role. Candidates must have 2-3 years experience in a regulatory role, ideally coming from a Telecommunications background.
To be eligible for this position, you must be able to work from our Gurugram office immediately.
Serve as the designated point of contact for our Indian regulatory obligations by managing our Unified License (UL) reporting, liaising with the Department of Telecom (DoT) and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI).
Prepare and coordinate licence applications, regulatory filings, and compliance reporting with telecommunications authorities and cloud regulations, while assisting the wider compliance team globally when required.
Research and track telecommunications, cyber security and cloud regulatory requirements, maintaining records of regulatory obligations, filings, and reporting deadlines.
Assist with security compliance certification activities such as ISO27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2.
Review and respond to notifications from law enforcement, third-party authorities and regulatory bodies, ensuring timely investigation and remediation.
Prepare reports and documentation to support cyber security and privacy incident investigations, regulatory compliance activities, and internal compliance processes.
Assist with customer security assurance activities such as responding to customer security and privacy questionnaires.
An Indian Citizen, with the ability to get government security clearance.
2-3 years experience in regulatory compliance, ideally within the telecommunications, technology, or cloud sectors.
Experience acting as or liaising with a Nodal Officer for Telecommunications compliance matters.
Practical experience working within the Indian telecommunications licensing and statutory filings under the Unified License (UL) framework), including the submission of regulator reporting to the Department to Telecommunications.
Practical experience of working with the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) requirements and reporting.
Full-time office-based role, at our Gurugram office
The working day is 8 hours, and the working week is 40 hours.
90-day notice period for resignation after the trial period
Working exclusively for Extreme Infocom Pvt. Ltd. and not for any other companies
