Junior Legal Counsel

As a Junior Legal Counsel at Melita, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the company operates at the forefront of compliance, regulation, and innovation. This is your chance to work on both local and international matters, addressing complex legal challenges while gaining exposure to diverse industries and technologies.

  Advising on regulatory and legal issues across local and EU jurisdictions. 

• →

  Assisting with the preparation and implementation of regulatory reports. 

• →

  Drafting, reviewing, and updating legal documents, including terms and policies. 

• →

  Providing clear legal guidance to various departments. 

• →

  Monitoring and analysing developments in legal frameworks to ensure compliance. 

• →

  Representing the company in external engagements. 

• →

  Contributing to the team’s objective of promoting excellence and maintaining a positive company image. 

• →

  Supporting the team as required. 

• →

  Qualified in Law in a EU jurisdiction and ideally obtained a warrant to practise law, if the warrant is still not achieved your application will still be considered.  

• →

  A solid understanding of EU law, with knowledge of Competition Law, IT Law, Financial or Cybersecurity Law being an asset. 

• →

  Exposure to Electronic Communications is a plus. 

• →

  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

• →

  Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset. 

• →

  Fluency in English (additional Maltese or any other European languages are an advantage).
