Position Summary

The Director of Cardiovascular (CV) Clinical Operations reports directly to the Executive Director of Cardiovascular services and is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all clinical programs associated with the Cardiovascular Service Line. This individual is accountable for the performance of the Cardiovascular Service Line by building a cohesive team with the cardiac services divisions and establishing a positive working relationship with the medical staff sufficient to encourage volume growth, efficient patient care processes, quality clinical outcomes, and information systems necessary to support reliable outcomes reporting. This individual has twenty-four (24) hour accountability for invasive cardiovascular services operations for three (3) cardiac catheterization laboratories, one (1) hybrid operating room, with a pre/post unit, Cardiovascular Observation Unit (CVOU), one (1) Non-invasive cardiology unit, one (1) cardiac rehabilitation unit and one (1) Fitness First unit. Responsibilities include but are not limited to personnel resource management, budget management, supply and equipment inventory management, clinical information systems management, and professional staff development. The incumbent is responsible to ensure all cardiovascular service line regulatory requirements and guidelines are continuously adhered to and independently makes changes to operations as required to meet standards.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

·         5+ years clinical Cardiovascular experience

·         Clinical Information Systems experience

·         TJC and Title 22 knowledge

·         Radiation safety practices

·         Minimum of 5 years current cardiovascular administrative experience; demonstrated expertise in cardiovascular

·         Computer knowledge including PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.

·         Experience to include program development, marketing, business planning and financial accountability

Education/Licensure/Certification:

·         Valid California RN license: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a B.S.N. (masters preferred) or valid CVT RT license with Master's degree in related health care discipline required
