Sr. Project Manager

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing complex projects within a highly regulated manufacturing environment. This position oversees project scope, schedule, budget, resources, risks, and stakeholder communications while ensuring compliance with applicable quality and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to manage multiple projects and cross-functional teams simultaneously.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and closure activities.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Validation.
  • Ensure projects are executed in compliance with GMP, FDA, and company requirements.
  • Facilitate project status meetings and provide regular updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Manage project documentation, deliverables, and change management activities.
  • Support procurement and sourcing initiatives utilizing Ariba systems.
  • Drive Change Control activities and ensure proper implementation and documentation.
  • Identify project risks and implement corrective actions to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence programs.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of project management experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other FDA-regulated industries.
  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional projects.
  • Demonstrated experience with Change Control processes.
  • Experience managing budgets, timelines, and project resources.

Required Skills

  • Strong ability to manage multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks, and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment under demanding deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Effective collaboration skills in team-oriented and matrix organizations.
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership and decision-making capabilities.
  • Self-starter who demonstrates initiative, persistence, tact, and influence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentations and executive-level reporting.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in project management software and advanced spreadsheet applications.
  • Experience with Change Control systems and regulated documentation practices.
  • Understanding and experience with Ariba Sourcing and Contracting Modules.
  • Experience with SAP, TrackWise, and project management tools preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office applications.
