What We Offer
~2 min read✓Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including intake screenings, risk evaluations, and diagnostic evaluations for incarcerated individuals.
✓Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team.
✓Provide individual and group therapy services, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
✓Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting interventions as clinically appropriate.
✓Perform crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessments, safety planning, and emergency response.
✓Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with facility, state, and federal guidelines.
✓Collaborate with medical staff, correctional officers, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated and safe patient care.
✓Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and discharge/reentry planning.
✓Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, policies, and procedures, including those specific to correctional healthcare.
✓Provide psychoeducation to patients regarding mental health conditions, coping strategies, and medication adherence (as applicable).
✓Support continuity of care by coordinating with community providers upon release.
✓Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to safety protocols within the correctional environment.
✓Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Mental Health Provider (LCSW, LPCC) in the CA.
✓Master’s degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
✓Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience (correctional, forensic, or inpatient experience preferred).
✓Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
✓Experience conducting assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
✓Knowledge of crisis intervention and risk assessment, including suicide prevention.
✓Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR).
✓Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team in a secure environment.
✓Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✓Ability to pass required background checks and meet all facility credentialing requirements.
