We’re hiring a Senior Software Engineer, Backend & Production Support, to help own and operate Integration Hub, an AWS-based integration platform supporting Integration with Internal & External systems. You’ll help with production support, monitoring, and incident response, and deliver small-to-medium backend enhancements (primarily Node.js services and AWS-based processing). You’ll also contribute directly to the vendor-to-internal support transition, helping document operations, absorb knowledge, and take increasing ownership during parallel run.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Triage and resolve production issues across APIs, file ingestion, and data sync jobs
- →Monitor system health and participate in on-call incident response (with support from senior engineers)
- →Implement and maintain backend services in Node.js
- →Support ingestion workflows (S3/Lambda/scheduling) and help troubleshoot data processing failures
- →Write and improve automated tests (Jest) and contribute to CI/CD improvements (GitHub Actions)
- →Assist with operational documentation: runbooks, dashboards, alert tuning, and SOPs
- →Perform small infrastructure/config changes (Terraform exposure preferred) with guidance
- Participate in vendor-led KT sessions and document learnings into internal runbooks and SOPs
- Shadow vendor ticket handling and progressively take ownership of support queues during parallel run
- Help inventory and validate operational assets: monitoring, alerts, deployment steps, credentials/access needs, scripts and scheduled jobs
- Contribute to continuous improvement items that reduce incidents (alert noise reduction, automation, better observability)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent amount of experience.
- 5-7 years of software engineering experience, ideally backend focused.
- Strong fundamentals in Node.js backend development.
- Working knowledge of AWS (at least some of ECS or Lambda, S3, CloudWatch).
- Experience debugging production issues and using logs/metrics to identify root causes
- Terraform and infrastructure-as-code familiarity
- Comfortable with SQL and relational databases (Postgres preferred)
- Team-oriented, eager to learn, and able to work in a support + enhancement environment
Nice to Have
~1 min read- NestJS exposure is a plus.
- Exposure to Kafka/MSK, Redis, or event-driven architectures.
- Experience working with file ingestion, scheduling, and batch processing
