Monarch Manufacturing, Inc.’s Hardware Department’s Drawerbox Builders are an integral part of the cabinet production process. Drawerbox Builders are responsible for creating the drawer boxes that will be installed in our quality cabinets. It is because of their attention to detail that our drawer boxes fit into our quality cabinets.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
There are no supervisory responsibilities for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:
Read and comprehend order paperwork, blueprints, and diagrams.
Use various hand tools (glue guns, screw guns, drills, wood routers, etc.)
Use various saws (up-cut saw, table saw, dado saw, dovetail machine, etc.)
Ability to identify different materials and wood species.
Vertical Edge Sander machine operation.
Dedication to keeping a clean and well-stocked working environment.
Cross-train in other areas during department downtime.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Assessing the accuracy, neatness, consistency, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
Measuring skills on a tape measure to the nearest 1/16th of an inch.
Basic mathematical understanding.
Listening and communication skills.- Teamwork.
- Punctuality.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Prior woodworking or cabinetry experience is preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ascending or descending ladders and stepstools on an occasional basis.
Moving oneself in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments constantly.
Remain standing in a stationary position for prolonged periods.
Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workstation to another constantly.
Adjusting or moving objects of varying weights in all directions.
Occasional movement of objects up to 20 pounds.
Occasional movement of objects up to 50 pounds.
Constant repeated motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Constant operation of machinery and/or power tools as assigned.
Occasional operation of motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Occasional exposure to high temperatures during the summer months.
Constant exposure to noisy environments.
Exposure to hazardous materials, specifically chemical hazards in the form of solvents.
Exposure to airborne particles, specifically sawdust.
JOB LOCATION:
Sullivan, Illinois.
PAY SCALE:
$18.00 to $20.00 an hour.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. (40 hours a week).
Mandatory overtime is determined on a day-to-day basis.
EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS:

Life Insurance is available upon the first day of employment at no charge to the employee.
8 paid holidays available after 90 days of employment.- 40 hours maximum each calendar year of paid time off (PTO) accrued weekly after 90 days of employment.
Paid vacation time available after 3 years of employment.
Attendance bonus pay available on the first day of the following month of employment.- Production bonus eligibility after 90 days of employment.
3.5% 401(k) Matching available after 90 days of employment.- Membership discounts to Second Chance Gym are available after 90 days of employment.
