Sales Associate - Hong Kong

Monocle is looking for a personable Sales Associate to join our Wanchai shop. If you enjoy good conversation, have an eye for well-made products and take pride in creating a welcoming space, we would love to meet you.

Our shops bring the world of Monocle to life. Alongside the magazine, you’ll find a carefully selected mix of clothing, accessories and objects from around the world. You’ll get to know our customers, help them discover something that they will love and make every visit feel considered and enjoyable.

• →Welcome customers, start conversations and offer thoughtful, knowledgeable advice.
• →Learn the stories behind Monocle’s products so that you can make recommendations with confidence.
• →Help the team meet sales goals while keeping the shop looking its best.
• →Support the day-to-day running of the shop, from keeping inventory and merchandising to opening and closing tasks.
• →Work closely with colleagues to deliver the high standards our customers expect.

You’re reliable, attentive to detail and comfortable taking initiative. You enjoy working with people, can stay organised while the shop is busy and are keen to learn. Experience in retail, particularly with clothing or leather goods, is welcome.

Confident speaking with customers in Cantonese and English; conversational Mandarin would be a strong advantage. You will also need to be comfortable using everyday computer tools and eligible to work in Hong Kong.

This is a part-time position for three days per week. We offer a flexible shift schedule but you must be available to work on weekends. Each shift runs from 11.00 to 19.00 with a flexible lunch break.
