A Canadian aerospace company is hiring Aircraft Maintenance Engineers - Avionics (AME-E), Licensed and Unlicensed, for heavy maintenance and modification programs. This is a hands-on avionics role on site in Vancouver, BC, executing maintenance, repair and inspection tasks against the customer check package and your scope of certification authority. Unionized role governed by a Collective Agreement, open to both Licensed and Unlicensed AMEs.

Responsibilities

Work as a hands-on avionics technician on complex aircraft, performing maintenance, repairs, modifications and inspections to Transport Canada standards while coaching apprentices coming up in the trade.

  • Perform avionics maintenance, repairs, modifications and inspection tasks on aircraft
  • Work to applicable Transport Canada regulations, technical airworthiness standards and operating procedures
  • Complete all associated documentation and reporting accurately
  • Coach apprentices and unlicensed technicians as they progress in the trade

Requirements

  • Transport Canada approved AME certification, or actively working toward it (apprentices welcome)
  • Hands-on experience with aircraft avionics systems
  • Working knowledge of repair, modification and inspection standards
  • Strong written and verbal English
  • Coaching and teamwork mindset

Work on complex aircraft platforms with a leading Canadian MRO. Union wage scale, type training and an endorsement pathway through an Approved Training Organization. Relocation support available for qualifying candidates.
