At Morgan & Morgan, the work we do matters. For millions of Americans, we’re their last line of defense against insurance companies, large corporations or defective goods. From attorneys in all 50 states, to client support staff, creative marketing to operations teams, every member of our firm has a key role to play in the winning fight for consumer rights. Our over 6,000 employees are all united by one mission: For the People.

Morgan & Morgan’s Employment Law Department is expanding, and we are looking for driven attorneys to resolve employment disputes efficiently—before litigation becomes necessary.

This is a high-volume, fast-moving pre-suit role for attorneys who bring strong legal judgment, sharp negotiation skills, and a relentless focus on moving cases toward meaningful resolution. You will manage an active caseload from intake through settlement, evaluate claims, build early case strategy, communicate directly with clients, prepare demand packages, and negotiate with opposing counsel, employers, and carriers.

You will succeed in this role by keeping matters moving. That means identifying key liability and damages issues early, setting clear client expectations, responding quickly, prioritizing effectively, and making practical recommendations that advance each case. You must be comfortable balancing urgency with attention to detail and confident making strategic decisions across a substantial volume of files.

Our clients come to us at pivotal moments in their professional lives. They need an advocate who listens, communicates clearly, and fights to secure the strongest possible outcome without unnecessary delay. The attorneys who thrive on this team are energetic, organized, client-focused, entrepreneurial, and committed to delivering results.

We welcome attorneys from a broad range of backgrounds and career stages. Whether you have practiced plaintiff-side employment law, represented employers, handled high-volume pre-suit matters, or developed transferable negotiation experience in another practice area, we encourage you to apply.

We are growing across multiple states, including Massachusetts, California, Washington, D.C., New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and Michigan. We encourage applications from attorneys based in Boston, Los Angeles/Orange County/San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, and Detroit.

If you are looking for an opportunity to advocate for employees, resolve cases efficiently, and help build a modern, technology-enabled employment practice, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage a high-volume caseload of employment-law matters through pre-litigation resolution.
  • Evaluate potential claims promptly; identify critical liability, damages, and evidentiary issues; and develop an early settlement strategy.
  • Drive matters forward by gathering information, preparing demand packages, tracking deadlines, and following up persistently with all parties.
  • Communicate proactively with clients throughout the pre-suit process, providing clear guidance, timely case updates, and practical advice.
  • Draft and revise demand letters, settlement proposals, releases, and other pre-litigation correspondence.
  • Negotiate directly with opposing counsel, employers, insurers, and other decision-makers to obtain favorable settlements.
  • Assess settlement offers and advise clients clearly on case value, risks, options, and recommended next steps.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the firm’s case-management platform.
  • Partner closely with intake, case-management, litigation, and support teams to identify matters suited for early resolution and matters that require escalation to litigation.
  • Use legal technology, workflow tools, templates, data, and case-management systems to increase efficiency, improve client communication, and strengthen settlement outcomes.
  • Stay current on employment-law developments that affect claim evaluation and negotiation strategy.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing of the bar in the state where the attorney is based or applying.
  • Employment-law experience preferred; experience with wage-and-hour, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, or whistleblower claims is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining strong judgment, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Strong negotiator with confidence communicating directly with opposing counsel, employers, insurers, and clients.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to assess legal, factual, and practical considerations quickly and make sound settlement recommendations.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, responsive, and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable leveraging technology, including case-management platforms, document automation, communication tools, and data-driven workflows.
  • Client-first mindset, strong work ethic, and a commitment to securing meaningful results efficiently.
