Details of Research Project:
Our laboratory focuses on exploring and evaluating the complexity of molecular signaling crosstalk between cells in the kidney. We seek highly motivated and exceptionally creative candidate to lead a cutting-edge research project that aims to examine molecular mechanisms in the glomerulus that result in diabetic and non-diabetic kidney disease progression. The project will focus on exploring the key functional mechanisms of glomerular cell function and to validate the complex relationship between glomerular endothelial cells and podocytes. The project will also examine the genetic susceptibility to developing progressive kidney disease and applying gene editing tools for potential curative therapies.
Technical Duties: (include any protocols)
Design, set-up and run cell biological projects.
Experience with protein chemistry, purification, and characterization
Meticulous data documentation and organizational skills
Experience giving presentations of research findings to other members of the scientific community.
To be fluent with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, R, Matlab
Experience documenting, organizing, and tracking multiple ongoing projects
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Organized and diligent with time management and deadlines
Creative in proposing new methods, techniques or approaches
Educational and Other Requirements for the Position:
Hold a Ph.D. or MD. Ph.D.

Self-driven, enthusiastic and to have a drive to make a significant impact, are essential.
Experience with gene editing is highly desired.

The salary range for the role is $74,69200 - $80,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
