Service Technician (Non-CDL)

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

• Full-Time
• Schedule: Monday/Thursday-Sunday- 1st shift

What to Expect:

Our Service Technicians are energetic, detail-oriented, and strive for top-notch customer service. Service Technicians drive to customer sites to pump, clean, and service portable restrooms.  If you are familiar with non-CDL commercial motor vehicles, enjoy working with customers, and like to work independently, our Service Technician position is an excellent opportunity for you!

Service Technician responsibilities:

• Service and relocate portable toilets at various locations and job sites.
• Service includes evacuating the holding tank, recharging the receptacle, cleaning the interior, replenishing toilet paper and hand sanitizer, and performing minor repairs.
• Maintain all paperwork, ensuring customer signatures are collected, and daily logs are complete and handed to the dispatcher.
• Work with Operations to receive instructions and keep them informed of any safety issues.
• Inspect truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water to ensure roadworthiness.
• Complete thorough, accurate, and timely DVIRs pre- and post-trip
  
• Report on any safety hazards, roadside incidents, and customer complaints and inquiries in a timely manner
• Perform emergency roadside repairs such as changing tires, installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs
• ...and other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have a current and valid driver's license
• Clean driving record and pass the required DOT physical and drug screen
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  
• Ability to shift, lift, and push 50-150 pounds throughout the day
• Ability to use a hand truck to help maneuver portable toilet units
• Detail-oriented and excellent customer service skills
• One or more years in a service-related role with problem-solving skills is preferred
