Electrician I

Inspects, repairs, installs, and maintains electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. Ensures all work performed meets required safety codes and is properly inspected. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

High school diploma or GED. Licensed Journeyman Electrician with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (or other state), OR a combination of job-related experience and training to equal four (4) years.

• Ability to use and operate a computer.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license.

• →Knowledge of the tools, materials, methods, and practices of the electrical trade.
• →Working knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions of the electrical trade.
• →Ability to work from penciled sketches and blueprints.
• →Skill in using the standard tools and equipment of the electrical trade.
• →Skill in locating and correcting defects in electrical systems and equipment.
