Assistant/Associate/Full Professor Tenure System

The Department of Finance in the Eli Broad College of Business seeks applications for an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor appointment. Successful applicants will teach Corporate Finance, Investments, Risk Management, Behavioral Finance, Financial Data Analytics, and International Finance. Candidates for Assistant Professor should exhibit strong potential for high-quality research that is likely to result in top-level publications and national recognition. Associate/Full Professor candidates must have an established national reputation for original and influential research and demonstrable evidence that they will continue to grow their national status. Candidates are expected to complete all requirements for the Ph.D. in Finance or related field by June 30, 2027. The position will start on August 16, 2027.

The department offers a collegial, research-driven environment with substantial resources to support ambitious scholarship and professional engagement.

Please note this is a union position represented by the Union for Tenure System Faculty. The university is working with the union to establish a collective bargaining agreement.

Terminal -Finance, Economics, Financial Economics, or related field

This position requires a Ph.D. degree from an accredited university. Candidates must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence. Specific areas of expertise for this position include Corporate Finance, Investments, Risk Management, Behavioral Finance, Financial Data Analytics, and International Finance. Candidates must be able to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Finance, financial economics, or related fields. Assistant Professor candidates should exhibit strong potential for high-quality research that is likely to result in top-level publications and national recognition. Successful seasoned candidates will demonstrate a sustained publication record in top-tier journals, a commitment to high-quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a record of service that advances the profession and academic community, and Associate/Full Professor candidates must have an established national reputation for original and influential research and demonstrable evidence that they will continue to grow their national status.
