Facilities Maintenance Specialist II / Senior Facilities Maintenance Specialist

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of credit union buildings within the Greater Lansing region. This role involves routine building inspections, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing repairs, and maintaining indoor and outdoor areas. The technician coordinates with staff and contractors, travels between locations, and responds to emergencies. Work Arrangement - This position is an onsite working arrangement in our Headquarters in East Lansing, MI. Expectation to travel to Greater Lansing, Traverse City, Grand Rapids, and SE Michigan branches/offices as needed. *Vehicle is provided for travel.

• →Frequently needs to move about inside or outside, walking, standing, crouching, and climbing; may include ladders, scaffolding, and uneven surfaces.
• →This position requires good visual acuity to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals, and to perform detailed inspections.
• →Potential exposure to electrical hazards, chemicals, and other safety risks. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
• →Frequently moves equipment or other materials and heavy objects up to 50 pounds for transportation between buildings
• →This position requires onsite presence at the employee’s assigned location for all scheduled shifts and may require travel to multiple locations.
• →This position requires work indoors and outside at various locations. Exposure to various weather conditions when working outdoors.
