Hela's Cantina Bartender

POSITION SUMMARY

Hela’s Cantina Bartenders are responsible for selling food items and mixing, and pouring drinks for guests in Hela’s Cantina.

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must have a current Alcohol Awareness Certification
• Bartending experience preferred
• Knowledge of popular beers, alcohol brands, and cocktails required
• Excellent English communication and customer service skills required
• Must be able to organize and prioritize under pressure while maintaining a calm and pleasant demeanor

INTERNAL: Employees and management staff from all Mt. Rose departments

EXTERNAL: Resort guests

• →Provide excellent and efficient guest service.
• →Pour, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with the highest quality and consistency according to Rose standards.
• →Using Point of Sale system to take food and beverage orders for guests in a timely manner.
• →Accurately record and sell menu items.
• →Knowledge of all bar menu items, brand selections, prices, and garnishes.
• →Collect accurate payment from the guest and deposit the exact amount of sales.
• →Maintain professional uniform and appearance standards.
• →Use product knowledge to maximize sales and help guests make drink selections.
• →Develop and maintain positive communication and teamwork with co-workers and supervisors.
• →Monitor the alcohol intake of guests and make reasonable effort to prevent guests from becoming intoxicated.
• →Check guest IDs to confirm guests ordering alcohol are at least 21 years of age.
• →Maintain a clean and safe work area.

• →Set the example by actively contributing to department and company goals.
• →Clarify expectations and seek additional training as needed.
• →Build quality into work. Ensure processes are consistent with quality objectives. Be aware of current quality levels versus target levels.
• →Develop and achieve departmental/company goals and controls. Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and productivity.
