To be considered for employment the applicant must be in good standing with the NC Health Care Personnel Registry and will be required to successfully complete training through our Staff Development department which includes, but is not limited to NCI (North Carolina Intervention), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting. The CNA/HCT-I position requires frequent lifting and bending.
This Certified Nursing Assistant/Health Care Technician I part-time position is located within the Nursing Department and offers one shift options: 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Salary Range: $31,200.00 – $46,348.00
A Sign-on bonus of $1,000 may be offered to the successful applicant(s) of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.

The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs )/Management Preferences are not required. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred:
- A valid Driver's License.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals, staff and others.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a professional and even-tempered demeanor and work relationships; Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a member of the team.
- Ability to learn behavior management and supportive counseling techniques. Demonstrated ability to communicate observations and recommendations effectively in written and verbal form.
- Ability to perform vital sign monitoring and provide direct patient care, including Foley catheter, tracheostomy, and G-tube care, as well as assistance with treatments such as applying ointments and managing colostomy bags.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds on a regular basis (6-8 times daily) and be able to stoop, bend, walk, run short distances (50 yards) and climb stairs without limitations of a permanent nature to provide adequate supervision of the assigned population in the home.
This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

High School or General Educational Development diploma;

Special Condition for Continued Employment As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation. As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing. As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
