Medical Assistant - General Dermatology Clinic

As a key member of our Dermatology team, the Medical Assistant plays a vital role in supporting high-quality, patient-centered dermatologic care. This position combines clinical proficiency, compassionate communication, and a strong understanding of dermatologic procedures to enhance the patient experience from check-in to follow-up.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Prepare exam rooms and assist dermatologists during dermatologic procedures.
- →Accurately document patient histories, medications, and dermatologic concerns in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- →Perform clinical tasks such as scribing, applying dressings, and providing post-care instructions.
- →Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- →Support patient education on skincare routines, post-procedure care, and treatment plans.
- Exposure to a wide range of dermatologic conditions and treatments—from acne and psoriasis to skin cancer and cosmetic procedures.

What We Offer

Provide quality care to patients, under the direction of licensed practitioners, promote efficient operation of the clinic, and provide assistance to physicians and support staff.
Required Qualifications:
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Graduate of an approved Medical Assistant Program required.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) upon completion of unit orientation required.
- If required to administer medications, current Medication Aid Registry listing or completed within first 30 days of hire or transfer date, and maintained thereafter required.
Requirements
~1 min read- Experience in a physician's office preferred.
- Experience in a related area preferred.
- Ability to be bilingual in English and Spanish for working in certain clinics preferred.
- Medical assistant certification preferred.
- Medical Scribe experience preferred.
