We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud environments. This role has a strong focus on Disaster Recovery (DR) and business continuity for critical workloads.
You will lead the design and execution of DR strategies, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and industry best practices. The ideal candidate brings deep Azure expertise, strong automation skills, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Design and implement Azure infrastructure solutions including compute, storage, networking, and security
- Lead Azure Landing Zone design and implementation aligned with enterprise architecture
- Optimize infrastructure for performance, availability, scalability, and cost
- Ensure alignment with Microsoft Well-Architected Framework
- Architect and implement DR solutions using Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and Azure Backup
- Define and manage RTO/RPO objectives, failover/failback strategies, and DR test plans
- Configure cross-region replication and traffic routing using Azure Traffic Manager and Front Door
- Automate DR processes, runbooks, and recovery workflows
- Conduct DR drills and continuously improve recovery readiness
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep, ARM templates, and Terraform
- Automate deployments and operations using PowerShell scripting, Azure CLI, and DevOps pipelines
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and environment automation
- Implement governance using Azure Policy, Blueprints, and RBAC
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and security best practices
- Manage identity and access using Azure AD, MFA, and hybrid identity solutions
- Perform security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Implement monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
- Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide escalation support during critical incidents
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base
- Azure Core Infrastructure (Landing Zone design & implementation)
- Disaster Recovery using Azure Site Recovery (ASR)
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Bicep, ARM, Terraform
- PowerShell scripting
- Strong experience in Azure networking, security, and monitoring
Requirements
~1 min read- 5+ years of experience in Azure infrastructure engineering
- Minimum 2+ years focused on Disaster Recovery / ASR solutions
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CJIS Certification (mandatory; must obtain if not already certified)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (preferred)
Nice to Have
